The DIG of the Kenya Police Service, Eliud Lagat, joined members of the Muslim community for an Iftar dinner,  on 26th February 2026 marking a moment of reflection and unity during the holy month of Ramadan in Mombasa.

“We in the Police Service cannot succeed without you, together, we make Mombasa safe and thriving,” he said.

He acknowledged the important role of the Muslim community in fostering social harmony and reaffirmed the Service’s commitment to working with all religious groups to enhance safety and security during Ramadan and beyond.
